PPLCARD lets call recipients verify a caller's identity in real time using a one-time passcode. The employee generates the code from within the platform and reads it aloud; the recipient enters it at pplcard.com and immediately sees who they're speaking with and which company that person works for. Because the code can only be generated by an authenticated employee and is single-use, an impersonator can't produce a valid one.

No. Your customers don't download anything, create an account, or enroll. They enter the code on a web page and get an answer. The only people who need accounts are your employees.

Caller ID numbers can be spoofed. PPLCARD adds an additional security layer using a spoof-resistant one-time passcode. A successful verification shows the call recipient the caller's name, company name, verification ID, and timestamp — caller ID doesn't do this.

Yes. Customers and staff can verify in-person vendors and field technicians in real time using the same process. Caller ID offers no protection at the door.

An invalid code means the person's identity could not be confirmed. We recommend customers end the interaction — hang up, or decline to admit an in-person visitor — and contact your company directly using a number or address they already have. Codes are single-use and time-limited, so a code that has expired or was entered incorrectly will also fail.

No. We don't store your customers' phone numbers.

Each verification record includes a verification ID, timestamp, employee name, company name, IP address, and the result of the verification. These records give you a defensible account of when a verification took place and what the outcome was.
